The line we draw
In Sri Lanka, live in eldercare is routinely marketed as “home nursing” while the person who arrives is a caregiver. Families pay for clinical assurance they are not receiving, and caregivers are quietly expected to perform procedures they were never trained or licensed to perform. Both are unsafe.
Aegis names each service by who actually delivers it. Our caregivers provide daily living support and are excellent at it. Anything clinical is carried out by a registered nurse or a doctor. Nothing falls between the two, because both sit inside the same care plan and the same record.
