Careers
Aegis is building Sri Lanka's first geriatrician led elder care ecosystem. That takes caregivers, nurses, therapists and coordinators who want to do this work well, with training behind them and a clinician above them.
Why Aegis
Most elder care work in Sri Lanka is arranged informally. A family finds a carer, the carer arrives, and nobody supervises what happens after that. No structured training, no clinical backup, and no record of the work that was done.
Aegis is built the other way round.
Roles
Home care takes its first placements from 1 October 2026. The centre on 5th Lane, Colombo 03 follows, with clinics, day care and a ten room respite floor. Roles open in waves as each service starts, so the list below changes.
If you are qualified, dependable and willing to be trained, we would rather hear from you than not.
How we work
Elder care is difficult work. The difference between doing it well and burning out is usually the structure around the person doing it.
Nobody goes to a family unprepared. Induction covers personal care, safe transfers, fall prevention, communicating with someone who has dementia, and knowing when to escalate.
Care plans are set by our Clinical Director and reviewed as the person changes. When something is wrong at a placement, there is a number to call and a clinician at the end of it.
As the centre opens, caregivers who complete their training and supervised hours move on to more complex placements and to roles on the clinic and respite floor.
